Why Arizona needs more college grads?.

As in any other place, there will always be adolescents who do not want to continue studying, and this usually happens for different reasons that each person has. That is why the government, parents, etc., try to support and convince their children to study to generate a better life.

 

Today's teenagers look at things very differently, and each year a new stereotype of what life is like and what we should do is created. And this happens year after year. Currently, adolescents think they no longer continue studying after high school. However, this may be due to different factors that cause the inability to continue studying. Arizona currently has a low percentage of students earning a degree or certificate. Hence, a reporter exclaimed, "Arizona is not moving in the right direction on high school graduates going to college, and the pandemic exacerbated this problem." And not only that, but there is evidence from studies that shows that 19.4 million students attended colleges and universities in Arizona in the fall of 2020. 35.28% of ASU - Tempe students come from out of state, and 8.21% come from out of the United States overall, which is about 10 percent lower than in fall 2010 (21.6 million students).

But what is this decrease due to? One of them is the need for more money or financial support since studying at a College or University is expensive, and it is sometimes difficult to pay specific amounts since we know they are high. This reminds me of a friend I had in high school who always told me she wanted to study something in business. Still, unfortunately, her parents couldn't afford school because her family didn't earn much money. However, she began to save money from her work. When she was about to enroll in college, something happened in her family, and she had to spend all her money to help her parents.

Another reason is a lack of interest since we as students sometimes need to see our future life, which is something wrong. We often think that school or university will be very difficult, we will only have a little free time, etc. But we do not see what it can give us to you and your country in the future. On the "Azcentral" page, they say that if 60% of the students obtain a degree or a certificate, minimum wages would be raised, and there would be more jobs and less poverty.

 

Finally, this has always been a big problem for people within Arizona. It may be for other states as well, but little by little, it is about obtaining better results each year until reaching a good percentage. And it is complicated because, in the United States, life is not so complicated. It is usually a little freer and with more opportunities to live better. Although we should not think like this, it is better to prepare, graduate and be able to enjoy all your successes.
