Entry #2 The importance of sleep When you are an athlete, student, worker, etc., you must take care of something significant: sleep. But why is sleep so important ? First, a healthy amount of sleep is vital for "brain plasticity," or the brain's ability to adapt to input. If we sleep too little, we cannot process what we've learned during the day and have more trouble remembering it in the future. That is why I want to talk about this topic since people put aside something so crucial for human beings that it helps us with our day and lives. Sleeping might sound like something very easy for everyone, but when you ask someone that question, they will most likely answer that they sleep between 5 to 7 hours. Something that is not right to do since we should sleep at least 8 hours a day. But each person will depend on the hours they sleep since age represents and makes us sleep more or fewer hours.
