Hashtag

What do we use the most to classify the content published on social networks? This has been a significant factor since the existence of social networks. Little by little, we are developing it more over time since we see even more within social networks every day. It helps us create groups, information, and links between people.

On the Digital Marketing institute page it says "A hashtag is a word or keyword phrase preceded by a hash symbol (#). It's used within a post on social media to help those who may be interested in your topic to be able to find it when They search for a particular keyword or hashtag. It helps to draw attention to your posts and encourage interaction." This trend has been one of the most viral in the world since most of us use it inside and outside of social networks to be able to express ourselves, do or say that we are in a group. There are thousands of meanings of what the hashtag means since each person creates their own hashtag and tries to viralize it so that it becomes famous and many people use it. This has become so common that many people say, "hashtag has become a part of my daily language" since 75% of social media users share posts with hashtags daily. Practically this has become a daily use for all people and many times we use it for even stronger things because we have different varieties of hashtags such as the form of supporting a cause or marginalized group of people, challenges, problems, encouragement, emotions, health, etc. Each person decides to use them but we see the most frequent use when it comes to the union or integrity of other people to generate a larger audience. Although there are people who do not use it but are simply readers who read and do not participate.

 

Finally, hashtags were created for something good since they can help us in many ways, and one of the most important is to transmit information when there is a problem. Each person has a different way of using it. Still, it usually contains more benefits than cons since we use it within social networks. However, it can even be used outside social networks, causing more and better communication.
